The purpose of this fund is to obtain equipment appropriate for a functioning News Room. For example, a copier, AP wire service, USA Today graphic service, a linotronic laser printer, Macintosh IIs, Apple Scanners, etc. This fund also is to be used for software as well as supplies and operating costs needed in the production of newspapers, brochures, newsletters, etc. developed in classes using the News Room. This fund also may be used for maintenance costs of the News Room equipment. This fund is restricted to the News Room; it is NOT to be used for any journalism projects, activities, purchases, etc. unrelated to the News Room.
