IUP has been recognized by national organizations and publications, from the Princeton Review to Washington Monthly. We are one of just 97 public colleges in the United States with a high research activity (Research 2: High Spending and Doctorate Production) Carnegie Classification.

IUP is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, but we don’t stop there. Many of our academic departments and colleges have earned additional specialized accreditation or national recognition.
