IT Services provides technology services via ihelp, the Student Computing Help Desk, and Virtual IT Support. Support is provided to all students, faculty, and staff at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

IUP students are encouraged to review the IT Support Resources for Students. This page will point you in the right direction for your technology needs. University community members can obtain self-service assistance by reviewing the menu items on this page under Get Support.

Requests for assistance or reporting issues can be made through the following methods. Office hours for each service are listed on the footer of our page.


Virtual IT Support

Virtual IT Support is a service where the university community can connect via Zoom to receive live help desk support for all technology-related issues. Virtual IT Support can be accessed at the Virtual IT Support Center.


Submit a help desk ticket (ihelp.iup.edu)

Please visit ihelp.iup.edu to log a ticket for any technology need or question. ihelp is a service that the university community can utilize for the most efficient means of receiving IT assistance, as it accepts tickets on a 24x7 basis (though responses typically occur during normal business hours). General IT inquiries can be sent via email (it-support-center@iup.edu) or by using the IT customer service line (724-357-4000).


Student Computing Help Desk

The Student Computing Help Desk in Delaney Hall is open for walk-ins, although scheduling an appointment is encouraged via ihelp. Students can receive assistance with a variety of technology problems, including password resets and the reinstallation of a computer's operating system.

DUO Authentication for Students

IUP utilizes multi-factor authentication for users accessing IUP services. IUP uses Duo as the multi-factor authentication application. The first time you log in to an IUP web service, like MyIUP, you will be prompted to enroll in Duo.

OneSIS Information: Employee Information Sessions

In April, IT held two informational sessions on OneSIS or One Student Information System, the Ellucian Banner Managed Cloud Shared Technology platform being adopted by PASSHE. A recording of the information session and a copy of the presentation are available on the IUP OneSIS website for reference.

IUP Core Network Router Maintenance

IT Services must complete IUP network core router maintenance resulting in brief network outages on Sunday October 23, 2022 beginning around 8:00 a.m. and again on Monday October 24, 2022 around 6:30 a.m..  

IUP Students Eligible to Obtain Microsoft Certifications

Through a PASSHE initiative, IUP students are now eligible to obtain Microsoft Fundamentals Certifications, free of charge.
