The Triple Degree Program is a partnership with select community colleges to help eligible students earn three college degrees in five years. These degrees include an associate, a bachelor’s, and a master’s degree. 

Initial Eligibility 

To be eligible for the Triple Degree Program, students must 

  • be enrolled at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College (PHCC) 
  • have completed at least 15 college credits 
  • have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher 
  • be in academic and disciplinary good standing 
  • be recommended by PHCC 
  • meet requirements for admission to aligning bachelor’s and master’s programs 
  • submit all necessary application materials: 
  • goal statement 
  • high school transcript 
  • transcripts from any other colleges attended (including PHCC) 

Continuing Eligibility 

To continue in the program, students must 

  • complete one of the designated associate degrees at PHCC 
  • maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Benefits to Students* 

Through the Triple Degree Program, students will 

  • receive an associate degree from PHCC 
  • receive a bachelor’s degree from IUP in as little as two more years 
  • complete 12 master’s-level credits that count toward both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree 
  • pay only bachelor’s-level rates for the 12 master’s credits (a savings of over $6,000 on a master’s degree) 
  • complete a master’s degree from IUP in as little as one more year (Most of the master’s degrees require only 18 to 24 more credits.) 
  • receive up to $13,000 in financial incentives for program participation, including 
  • $2,000 yearly scholarship for on-campus housing  
  • $2,000 yearly bachelor’s degree scholarship for up to two years of full-time enrollment 
  • $2,000 master’s degree scholarship for one year of enrollment in at least 6 credits 
  • pay no application or enrollment deposit fees 
  • save over $6,000 on a master’s degree by taking master’s-level courses that count toward both the bachelor’s and the master’s degree
