Finding IUP Archival Collections
IUP Archival Collections and Finding Aids
Archival resources are organized into Record Group and Manuscript Group collections.
- Record Groups represent the institutional history of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and include IUP publications (such as catalogs, commencement programs and yearbooks) and records created by campus offices and academic departments.
- Manuscript Groups have been donated by individuals, businesses, and organizations often associated with IUP or Pennsylvania. These archival collections include industrial and labor history related to the coal mining, steel production, and transportation industries in Pennsylvania.
Finding Aids are indexes of archival resources in Record Group and Manuscript Group collections created to help researchers locate primary sources and specific documents within a collection.
IUP Collections in ArchivesSpace
In collaboration with the Keystone Library Network, IUP has joined with ArchivesSpace to provide assistance to researchers navigating the diverse archival collections that the university has to offer. ArchiveSpace is a repository of collection finding aids and archival information.
