Please join Eberly College of Business on Wednesday, November 17 at noon for the 2021 edition of the ECOB Biz Wiz Quiz Competition as student teams compete for up to $3,000 in scholarships. All students, faculty, administrators, and staff are welcome for the final round, taking place in in in the Eberly Auditorium, room 101. There will be lots of audience prizes, too!

IUP Business Golf Classic Nets $40K for Scholarship Fund

On September 13, 2021, the Eberly College of Business held their 31st Annual IUP Business Golf Classic at the Longue Vue Club in Verona, PA, which generated over $40K in student scholarship dollars from the generous support of over 22 sponsors and 80-plus golfers.

IUP Council of Trustees Approves Naming in Honor of Robert C. Camp

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Council of Trustees today approved the naming of a conference room in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology in honor of long-time dean and faculty member Robert C. Camp in recognition of his “extraordinary dedication” to IUP and his professional accomplishments.

On April 12, 2021, the Student Accounting Association held its final virtual Zoom meeting of the spring semester with guest speakers and CPAs Tia Gamler ’03, vice president of finance at Rotating Machinery Services, Inc. and Steve Bruckner ’06, vice president of finance at CD Industrial, LLC.

Eberly Students Attend 2021 United Collegiate Women's Leadership Conference

On March 6, 2021, 14 students from the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology joined staff, administrators, and a faculty member for the United Collegiate Women’s Leadership Virtual Conference 2021. The conference included a wide range of workshops on key issues in higher education.

On March 3, 2021, the Student Accounting Association held its third meeting of the spring semester with guest speaker Susan Maloney, the firm director of the national public accounting firm Baker Tilly, Pittsburgh office. Accompanying her was Lauren Cattell, who is an assurance associate.

SAA Hosts Alumni Speaker Lucas and Others

On February 17, 2021, the Student Accounting Association held its second meeting of the spring semester with guest speaker Todd Lucas ’02 (accounting), a senior audit manager at Schneider Downs’ Pittsburgh office.  Accompanying him were IUP alumni Ed Friel ’88 (shareholder), Jim Yard ’93 (shareholder), Laria Moore ’19 (staff II member), and Ed Kremmel ’16 (senior auditor).

Michaela Elsen is a sophomore at IUP studying Human Resources and General Management in the Eberly College of Business and Information Technology. Michaela is also involved with Management Association, Phi Gamma Nu, COBSAC, the Eberly Digital Marketing Team, and Business Honors.

Student Accounting Association Makes Third Donation to IUP Food Pantry and Help Center

On February 1, 2021, the IUP Student Accounting Association made its third nonperishable food and toiletries donation to the IUP Food Pantry and Help Center, located in room G-12 at the Suites on Pratt. The donation was carried out by SAA Community Service Chair Logan Stear and Vice President of Finance Brandon Boyer. The Food Pantry provides free food and toiletries to IUP students in need.

“Make Your Own Motivation” Program Helps Students Navigate the Semester

The Eberly College of Business hosted Dylan Corp, a licensed psychologist from the IUP Counseling Center and the outreach coordinator, who took the time to discuss motivation with students—where it comes from, what it is, what problems we often face with it, and how to maintain and use it.

Eberly Launches MGMT 101: Business Success Seminar

The Business Success Seminar course is specifically intended to engage students early, providing them with active learning, peer interaction, career exploration, and campus engagement opportunities. All freshmen business majors are encouraged to take this class during their first year at IUP.
