On September 13, 2021, the Eberly College of Business held its thirty-first annual IUP Business Golf Classic at the Longue Vue Club in Verona, Pennsylvania, which generated over $40,000 in student scholarship dollars from the generous support of over 22 sponsors and 80-plus golfers.

Walmart and Aramark served as the prominent Gold Sponsors for the event.

Eberly alumni and founding members of the IUP Business Golf Classic, Nadav Baum ’86 (Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC), Terry Dunlap ’81 (Foundation for IUP and Board of Directors), Terry Serafini ’61, Tim Wallace ’79, and Tom Wallace ’80, were all are recognized as Legacy Sponsors—a category reserved specifically for the founding members/ongoing sponsors of the event since 1990.

Silver Sponsorships included BKD CPAs and Advisors, Enterprise Bank, and PNC.  Additional support for the Golf Classic came in the form of donations and foursome sponsorships from 1st Summit Bank, Douds Furniture, East Penn Manufacturing, First Commonwealth Bank, Foundation for IUP, Indiana Regional Medical Center, IUP Division of University Advancement, IUP Men’s Basketball, IUP Student Cooperative Association, Joseph Reinard from IUP University Advancement, Keystone Foam Corp., KITS Brokerage Inc., Merrill Lynch – DRSMK Wealth Management Group, Mount Vernon Capital Advisors LLC, S&T Bank, Sheetz, Sisterson & Co. Overall success was due to our committed alumni, beautiful weather, and an outstanding ECOB Golf Classic Team, which included co-chairs Nadav Baum ’86 and IUP Advancement’s Christina Koren, with the help of retired Associate Dean Cynthia Strittmatter, Maureen Bash, Prasanth Bharadwaj, Amy Cook, and Dean Geofrey Mills. The team wishes to extend their gratitude to Tim Mink, director of Food and Beverage at Longue Vue Club, and to the following volunteers who were integral to the event: Tammy Manko, Career and Professional Development Center; Heidi Neumann, Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism, and Event Management Major; and Joseph Reinard, IUP University of Advancement.
