Over the course of an academic year, the Office of International Education assists international students and scholars and their families from over 50 countries and helps IUP students pursue education abroad opportunities. The office also liaises with faculty, staff, students, and community members in a number of different ways to further internationalize IUP.

IUP Receives Funding to Host Students from Yucatan Universities for Second Year

Indiana University of Pennsylvania is one of only two universities in the United States chosen to host students participating in the Secretariat of Research, Innovation, and Higher Education State of Yucatan scholarship, a short-term, intensive English language and American culture program.

IUP Hosting Ambassador of Mali to Give Two Presentations, March 21–22

The Ambassador of Mali to the United States, Sekou Berthé, will give two presentations at IUP: "West and Central Africa at the Crossroads of Global Security Challenges" and "Economic Matters and Investment Opportunities in Mali, West Africa." Both events are free and open to the public.

IUP Selected for American Passport Program to Encourage Study, Travel Abroad Experiences

IUP is one of 40 universities in the nation selected for the Institute of International Education American Passport Project grant. This grant funds up to 25 IUP students who are first-year enrolled students who meet financial eligibility requirements to obtain a US passport to support their study abroad journeys.
