On Saturday, May 10, IUP honored 1,457 graduates during the Commencement Ceremony at KCAC. On such an occasion, international student and American Language Institute instructor Alexandra Krasova was one of the speakers as the recipient of the Graduate Student Outstanding Research Award, the IUP Outstanding Leader Award, the Promising Future Interdisciplinary Researcher Award, and the Teaching Associate Faculty Recognition Award.
For the IUP news article this week, Krasova shared the impact of being an ALI instructor on her career:
"Looking back at my time at IUP, I have had many moments that shaped my professional identity. However, my experience working with international multilingual students at the American Language Institute had the greatest impact on my personal and professional life. I learned a lot about different countries, languages, and cultures, and I was able to embrace diversity of my classroom. I am truly grateful for this experience."
The Office of International Education congratulates Alexandra Krasova and all graduates on their accomplishments. We are proud of you all!
