All music majors are eligible for scholarships, which are determined based on your audition.

Music Ensembles

Our ensembles are available to any student, regardless of major. Any IUP student who has reached 15 credits of classes may participate in additional ensembles for zero credit, so you can be part of the IUP music scene without having to pay additional tuition.

Legacy Brass Named for Fall 2021

The IUP Department of Music is proud to announce the new members of Legacy Brass Quintet for fall 2021: Austin Widmann (trumpet), Justin Bianconi (trumpet), Anna Zurawski (horn), David Earnest (trombone), and Kayla Holsopple (tuba).

Saylor Named Interim Marching Band Director

Indiana University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce the appointment of Nevin Saylor as interim director of the IUP Marching Band.

String Project Accepting Applications for Fall 2021 Semester 

The IUP String Project, a community music education outreach program for children ages five to 18 in Indiana and the surrounding area, is now accepting applications for private lesson instruction on violin, viola, cello, and bass.  Applications are due on September 1.

Collins Receives Recording Award

IUP Department of Music faculty member, Zach Collins, was given the Roger Bobo Award for Excellence in Recording for his album, "Chronicle," at the 2021 Virtual Tuba Euphonium Conference in June.
