The University Museum presents several exhibits annually. It is a multi-discipline museum, including art, history, and other exhibits.

Artist Judith Waller and earth scientist Jim Brey collaborate to illustrate environmental threats confronting many of the world's most beautiful cities and natural landscapes.

University Museum Gala: Masks, Music, A Night in Venice

September 21, 6:00–10:00 p.m.; University Museum, Sutton Hall

This annual benefit event is always a festive evening. This year's gala recreates a carnevale night in contemporary Venice with fine art, music, dinner, and dancing. Reservations are required.

Photography by students in the Communications Media Department at IUP presents a lively variety of portraits, landscapes, and aesthetic special effects.

Emerging Artists: Annual Graduate Exhibit

This showcase of individual exhibitions by Master of Fine Arts candidates in the Art Department at IUP fills the University Museum and the galleries of Sprowls Hall with cutting-edge artworks in a variety of media.

Roots and Wings: Keeney and Tomb

Nature's color and intricate details are highlights of Maura Keeney's floral and plant form paintings and David Tomb's paintings and drawings of tropical birds.

Selections from the museum's permanent collection are on display at the Artists Hand Gallery in Downtown Indiana.

Pencil Paint Pixel: 29 Years of Visual Communication

June 7–July 26; University Museum, Sutton Hall

Illustrator and IUP alumnus Mark Bender (1983) creates award-winning art for a variety of corporations with this exhibit titled “Pencil Paint Pixel: 29 Years of Visual Communication.” Admission is free, and an opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 5:00–8:00 p.m.
