IUP to Host Inaugural BEAC Weekend April 14–16

The Black Experience Alumni Committee is hosting the inaugural BEAC Weekend for both alumni and students. Events are designed to provide opportunities to bridge the gap between students and alumni, build lasting relationships, prepare for the future by supporting and uplifting Black students at IUP, and maintain the culture as alumni are reconnected to their alma mater.

Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs Turner appointed to Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP) Board of Directors

Through Malaika Turner's work with the IUP Food Pantry and Help Center she was voted to be a board member of the Indiana County Community Action Program.

Summer, Fall 2023 Registration Begins Soon

Class registration for summer 2023 begins March 27 for all continuing undergraduate and graduate students. Fall 2023 class registration, with windows for different groups of students, takes place throughout March. Check out what you need to do to get ready.

OneSIS Information

The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education is in the process of implementing a common Student Information System across the State System schools. IUP is scheduled to begin implementing OneSIS in January 2024.

Men’s Rugby Wins National Championship

Over Memorial Day weekend, the IUP Men’s Rugby team traveled to New Orleans for the 2022 May Madness Rugby 7s National Championship matches, the largest US Collegiate Rugby Tournament. The IUP Men’s Rugby team went 6-0 and paved their way to the program’s first-ever national championship.

The IUP Food Pantry and Help Center is holding a campus-wide food drive from Monday, June 6, through Friday, July 1, to help restock its shelves in preparation for the fall semester.

Recruitment Begins for IUP Guides

Student Support and Engagement is proud to begin recruiting efforts for its Guide program for the 2022–23 school year. Guides will function as support and contact points between students and campus and community resources. Each Guide will be assigned a group of incoming students who they will “follow” through their first year at IUP.

Support Students at Late Night Pancake Event, May 2

On Monday, May 2, starting at 10:30 p.m. the Division of Student Affairs will host our end-of-semester Late Night Pancake meal in North Dining Hall. All students are welcome, whether or not they have a meal plan. The event is free of charge. 

IUP Town Hall for Students to be Held Monday, April 18

IUP President Michael Driscoll, members of IUP leadership, IUP professors, and student leaders will lead an open discussion on the topics that matter most to our students on April 18, 2022. The event will take place during the Crimson Common Hour from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Folger Student Center.

MVRC New Location Officially Opens as Part of Veterans Day Celebrations

The Military and Veterans Resource Center officially opened its doors in its new location on the IUP campus, just in time for Veterans Day celebrations.

Popular Adopt a Game Program is Back, Accepting Sponsors for IUP Basketball Games

After a year’s hiatus, the Adopt a Game Program is up and running. Student and staff groups, organizations, and departments from IUP are all welcome to participate in this free sponsorship opportunity. Both men’s and women’s home basketball games are accepting sponsors.
