The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 21, through noon Thursday, January 22, with expected snow accumulation between 2 to 5 inches.
Members of the IUP community are encouraged to take the following precautions:

Allow extra time for travel and use caution on sidewalks and roadways

Wear appropriate footwear with good tread or slip-resistant soles

Take short, slow strides when walking on snow- or ice-covered surfaces to improve balance; avoid using your cellphone while walking

Take extra care when entering or exiting your vehicle, as areas in and around parking spots could be slippery

Please keep windows closed in the residence halls to help prevent frozen pipes
Members of the Maintenance and Operations group are working during all shifts to keep sidewalks clear and safe. Please report any icy or snow-covered sidewalks to IUP Facilities at 724-357-2710 or Campus Police at 724-357-2141.
