Welcome to the Spring Semester!
The Social Equity and Title IX team is here to provide information, support, and process options in situations involving discrimination and sexual misconduct. I want to assure you that IUP is committed to maintaining a safe and equitable learning and work environment, as well as fair processes for all parties. Please review IUP’s Sexual Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy and related resources, as well as the Nondiscrimination Policy. These policies both apply to all on-campus and off-campus conduct that is likely to have a substantial adverse effect on any member of the university community. Here is additional information regarding resources and how to report concerns.
IUP takes concerns and complaints seriously and will respond to your questions and complaints in a timely manner. The Incident of Concern Online Reporting System is accessible to students and employees at the bottom of every IUP web page. These incidents include reports of identity-based bias or discrimination, sexual misconduct, student care, student conduct, and University Police forms. A form for pregnant and postpartum students to request accommodations is also available (see also Supporting the Academic Success of Pregnant and Newborn-Parenting Students - IUP).
These forms are for non-emergency reports only. If you have any concerns for the immediate safety of yourself or others, call 911. For urgent emotional/mental health matters, please call 988 or the Crisis Intervention 24/7 Hotline at 1-877-333-2470.
The Social Equity and Title IX team is available to offer support and information, or to direct you to the office or resource that can provide help. Please contact us at title-ix@iup.edu. You can reach the Counseling Center at 724-357-2621 or the Haven Project at 724-357-3947. If you have concerns, let us help.
Best wishes for a wonderful semester,
