Gilded Age to Great War: Milton Bancroft and His Art

Academically trained in Boston, Philadelphia, and Paris, and nationally recognized for his portraits and architectural murals, Milton Bancroft's Impressionistic work reflected changes in American culture and art from the late 19th century through World War I.

Frank Mason: A Passion for Painting

Frank Mason's classical paintings—his portraits, still-lives, and landscapes—are reminiscent of the classic painting styles of Van Gogh and Vermeer. Throughout his career, Mason earned scores of international honors and was often commissioned to paint the portraits of princes, cardinals, and governors.
