Annual events to promote academic diversity and raise community awareness of the Hispanic culture include fall and spring social gatherings. These events are open to the entire campus community. A few events during the 2018-19 academic year are highlighted here.

Hispanic Heritage CompilationOctober 10: The Multicultural Affairs and Student Success Office hosted a Lunch and Learn event in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

October 16: The Lively Arts presented Compania Flamenca Eduardo Guerrero: Flamenco Pasion. Bursting with energy and passion, this performance featured the critically acclaimed flamenco dancer and choreographer as he used his eclectic style to combine classical and contemporary Spanish dance, ballet, and contortion.

March 30: A Hispanic Dance Carnival was held in the HUB Ohio Room. This event included authentic food and music, dance lessons, and a Salsa Ritmo performance.

In addition to the group's programming, monthly meetings are held during both the fall and spring semesters. The Council works closely with the student organization, LaSO, and events are supported by the Office of Social Equity.
