International Lunch Hour

This free event is open to all members of the university and the greater Indiana community.
The Lunch Hour is held each semester in the Blue Room of Sutton Hall, 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Come join us and interact with the IUP students, faculty, and staff!

Education Abroad Fair
All are welcome to learn about opportunities to study in another country as part of your IUP experience. Meet with peer advisors, providers, and Education Abroad staff to find out more about specific opportunities to study abroad for a summer, semester, and/or full year. Merit Scholarship staff will also provide information on prestigious international opportunities such as Boren Fellowships and Fulbright Awards.
Wednesday Workshop
Join the Office of International Education in an informational workshop and learn more about the fantastic Education Abroad opportunities. This is your chance to meet with a representative from our office and find out how to make this possible for you!
International Education Week

IEW is a joint initiative between the United States Department of State and the United States Department of Education to promote cross-cultural awareness, prepare students for a global environment, and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
Please join the Office of International Education as it hosts International Education Week at IUP (2026 date to be announced). All events are free and open to the community unless otherwise noted.
Funding is provided by the OIE and the IUP Student Co-Operative Association.

Join us for a free lunch to kick off this year’s International Education Week events. We will also highlight some of the awesome staff, faculty, and student stars who make International Education work at IUP. Thank you for all that you do!
IUP Six O’Clock Series for Study Abroad Scholarships and Sponsored Programs

6:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m., Elkin Hall, Great Room

The Six O’Clock Series provides IUP students, employees, and community members an opportunity to learn about current issues and approach familiar topics from a new perspective.

All lectures are free and available to the public as well as the campus community. The lectures are targeted at an audience of college students and employees, so not all topics may be appropriate for children.
Japanese Taiko Drumming

Experience the rhythms of Japanese Taiko Drumming. Hear the powerful performance echo through the halls and witness the dynamic choreography that will captivate your senses!

International Poetry Night

Poetry offers a unique look into different cultures and is a great way to share your culture and interests with the campus community. As participants read poetry, the poems will be shared in the original language with English translation available. All are welcome.

Washington, DC Trip

5:30 a.m.–10:00 p.m. Bus departs from KCAC at 5:30 a.m.

International students and scholars must register for this event at the Office of International Education. Payment must be made at the time of registration. The cost of this event is $60, and we only accept cash payments. This trip is nonrefundable and nontransferable.
International Unity Day

International Unity Day is a free-admission cultural celebration held every year. The event is open to the IUP campus and the surrounding communities.
International Unity Day will be held (date and time TBA) in the Hadley Union Building (HUB).
During the event, IUP international students are encouraged to participate by hosting a booth showcasing the culture of their home country (food, music, clothing, dancing, and more). This event is open to the community.
