Suit-Up Event

JCPenney - Indiana Mall

Join the IUP Career and Professional Development Center on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at JCPenney’s in the Indiana Mall, where the doors will be open to IUP students, faculty, and staff only.  Members of the IUP community will have the chance to shop for professional attire up to 60 percent off, which will include all business and business casual clothing, shoes, and accessories.

The Spring Career Fair is the largest employment event for IUP students and alumni held at IUP. Network with recruiters and get information about full-time and part-time jobs, as well as internships. Business casual dress is preferred, but not required.

The sessions run every 30 minutes between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the North Dining Hall, where staff from the IUP Career and Professional Development Center will talk about life, career goals, and how we can help you achieve them!Students who participate will receive a free lunch (tickets are limited). Alpha Phi Sigma, IUP's Criminal Justice Honor Society, will be sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.  The drive will be held in the HUB Ohio Room from noon until 5:00 p.m.

CANCELED: Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium

The PERC Education Job Fair, scheduled for Wednesday March 25, 2020, has been canceled by the venue due to the impact of COVID-19. All candidates who preregistered will receive a refund of their registration fees. 

Employers will receive the candidate contact and certification information of those who opted, during the registration process, to have their information shared. Also, for your use, the 2020 PERC Education Job Fair directory can be accessed on the Event Squid website, in the upper left-hand corner under “2020 Directory.”

Our first event, Navigating Etiquette Like a Pro: Manners Matter, will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. During this presentation, you can expect information on general dining etiquette broken down into six topics, including: your napkin, understanding the place setting, dining/eating tips, general advice, table behavior, and being a good guest/host. Additional information will be shared about proper handshakes and business card and workplace etiquette.
