Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts

The Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts programs are 16-month certificate programs. Both of these programs have options for you to continue to receive an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts, or a bachelor’s degree in Hotel, Restaurant, Tourism and Event Management, Nutrition, and Family and Consumer Science Education

World Education

We also offer over 800 online, noncredit courses and career training programs. They are available in many disciplines, such as healthcare, personal fitness, technology, human resources, and management (including popular Six Sigma certifications). IUP Punxsutawney Hosts “Learning How Kane, PA Approaches Revitalization”

Fifteen Punxsutawney community leaders attended this presentation, facilitated by the Kane mayor and the director of the Kane Area Development Center, on Wednesday, November 3.

Students Treated to Hot Cider and Hot Cocoa on a Cold October Day

IUP Academy of Culinary Arts students were treated to hot cider, hot chocolate, and delicious pastries on Friday, October 22, from the window of a 1975 Vintage Horse trailer named Magnolia.

Food insecurity is a reality across the country, and we want to make sure to provide every need for our students.

Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce Continues IUP Student Internship Program

Jared Klepadlo, a junior management information systems major in the Cook Honors College, is working as an intern at the Punxsutawney Chamber of Commerce this summer. He says that he’s “completely enjoying” the experience, his supervisor’s enthusiasm and knowledge, the western Pennsylvania setting, and especially the people he’s meeting through the work.

Labrador Named IUP Punxsutawney Person of Purpose

Monique Feliciano Labrador has been selected as the IUP Punxsutawney Person of Purpose for January/February 2021. This award recognizes a student who has shown academic excellence and good work ethic and who actively participates in the classroom.
