All music majors are eligible for scholarships, which are determined based on your audition.

Music Ensembles

Our ensembles are available to any student, regardless of major. Any IUP student who has reached 15 credits of classes may participate in additional ensembles for zero credit, so you can be part of the IUP music scene without having to pay additional tuition.

Area Musical Features IUP Musicians

Bishop McCort Catholic High School recently presented Stephen Sondheim's musical "Anyone Can Whistle." Several people, including the assistant dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, a current student, and numerous alumni, served as members of the pit orchestra.

Council of Trustees Approve Naming of Trumpet Studio in Honor of Retired Faculty Member Eisensmith

At its meeting on March 23, Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Council of Trustees honored retired Music Department faculty member Kevin Eisensmith by naming a space in IUP’s Cogswell Hall, home to the department, in his honor.

IUP Alumnus Sicheng He to Perform Solo Recital

IUP Masters of Arts in Performance graduate SIcheng He will give a solo recital this Friday, March 3, 7:00 p.m., Gorell Recital Hall (2nd floor of Sutton). The program will include works by Scarlatti, Haydn, Liszt, Guarnieri, and Stockhausen. Admission is free.
