Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is the latest office software suite from Microsoft. Office 365 is available to all enrolled students, staff, and faculty through the Microsoft campus agreement.

The Windows download includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access. The Mac download does not include Publisher or Access, but does includeWord, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook. The Mobile download includes Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, and OneNote Mobile. You will not be able to install any of the Office applications on a Chromebook. You will, however, have access to the online versions of the applications.

Office 365 can also be accessed in the IUP public computing labs and the Virtual Computer Lab.

How to Install Office 365 on Windows or Mac OSX Computer

See below for IOS or Android instructions.

  1. Open a browser and log in to your IUP email via Office 365 using
  2. If you are not already signed in to an IUP Web Single Sign-On Service, you will be taken to the IUP Web Single Sign-On. Here you will enter your IUP network credentials.
  3. On the top right corner, you can click on Install Office. Follow the process to install Office.
  4. Upon completion of the installation, Office will pop up and tell you the installation is complete.
  5. Launch Word and enter your network credentials if asked.

If you wish to license additional devices, simply follow the install instructions for any Mac OSX or Windows Device.

For IOS or Android,download the Office 365 application from the respective application store. Once this is downloaded, enter your IUP credentials to sign in to use the application.

Managing Your Account

If you wish to de-authorize an installation, click on the User Profile icon on the top right. Click on My Account, then click on Apps and Devices. Click the Devices dropdown to see the devices on which you installed Office 365. Sign out of the device you wish to remove from your account.
