Adobe Creative Cloud is a powerful set of software tools. The Creative Cloud suite can assist in areas such as web design, image editing, video editing, graphic and art design, desktop publishing, game development, animation, and much more.

All active employees can download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite on a personally owned computer. Adobe Creative Cloud is already installed on IUP-owned office computers. Do not use these steps to install Adobe on an IUP-owned computer.

Students are not eligible for this program; however, students can get a subscription to Adobe's educational discounted rate. If all you need is a PDF reader, you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free.

Employees only: Install Creative Cloud on a personal computer

Thanks to a partnership between the Divisions of Administration and Finance and Academic Affairs, IUP has joined an optional Pennsylvania State System agreement that permits IUP employees to obtain licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud. This will allow employees to install Adobe Creative Cloud on a personally owned computer.

To install the suite, please complete the following steps to access the Adobe downloads.

  • Browse to creativecloud.adobe.com.
  • Click the Sign In link in the top right-hand corner.
  • Enter your full IUP email address. This would be in the format username@iup.edu where your username is what you use to log in to IUP Services.
    • Do not use your IUP email alias for this step of the process. The email alias is only used for sending email to your account. If you use the email alias, you will get a free trial version of Abode.
  • Click Continue, then select Company or School Account.
  • You will be prompted by the IUP Web Single Sign-on. Log in with your IUP computing account credentials.
  • When logged in, under the Quick links to the right of the screen, click Install Creative Cloud app.
  • If the "Permission May be Required" screen displays, click OK.
  • The Application will begin to download and install.
  • After Creative Cloud is installed, you need to launch it from your desktop.
  • Sign in to the desktop app with your IUP computing account credentials
  • From the Creative Cloud desktop app, select the applications you want to install (e.g., Lightroom).

Employees logging in to Adobe on an IUP-owned employee PC

As an employee, if you are using an IUP-owned PC and are asked to log in to an Adobe application (such as Acrobat Reader Pro), follow these steps to properly license the product.

    1. Do not use your IUP email alias for this step of the process. The email alias is only used for sending email to your account.
  2. The standard IUP WebSO screen will appear. Enter your MyIUP credentials and authenticate with Duo.
  3. After a few moments, you will be signed in to the Adobe application.

Logging in to Adobe on a lab computer or an office computer as a student employee

For student employees logging in to an office computer, the product will need to be installed with the Adobe shared license. If the product is not installed as such, ask your supervisor to log an ihelp ticket.

If the product is installed with the Adobe shared license and you are asked to sign in, follow these steps to log in to Adobe:

  1. When the sign-in screen appears, enter your full IUP email address. This would be in the format username@iup.edu where your username is your network username. Click Continue.
    1. Do not use your IUP email alias for this step of the process. The email alias is only used for sending email to your account.
  2. The standard IUP WebSO screen will appear. Enter your MyIUP credentials and authenticate with Duo.
  3. After a few moments, you will be signed in to the Adobe application.
