Adobe Creative Cloud is a powerful set of software tools. The Creative Cloud suite can assist in areas such as web design, image editing, video editing, graphic and art design, desktop publishing, game development, animation, and much more.

All active employees have access to Adobe products—either the full Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or Adobe Acrobat Pro—and can download and install it on a personally owned computer. Adobe Creative Cloud is already installed on IUP-owned office computers. Do not use these steps to install Adobe on an IUP-owned computer.

Students registered in courses that use Adobe as part of their instruction are eligible for Adobe Creative Cloud and are provided access at the beginning of each semester. Instructors of these courses will notify their students accordingly. Students not eligible for this program can get a subscription to Adobe's educational discounted rate. If you need the Adobe PDF reader, you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free.

Employees and Eligible Students: Install Creative Cloud on a personal computer

Thanks to a partnership between the Divisions of Administration and Finance and Academic Affairs, IUP has joined an optional Pennsylvania State System agreement that permits IUP employees to obtain licenses for Adobe Creative Cloud. This will allow employees to install Adobe Creative Cloud on a personally owned computer. Eligible students enrolled in specific courses are also eligible for the package.

To install the suite, please complete the following steps to access the Adobe downloads.

  • Browse to creativecloud.adobe.com.
  • Click the Sign In link in the top right-hand corner.
  • Enter your full IUP email address. This would be in the format username@iup.edu where your username is what you use to log in to IUP Services.
    • Do not use your IUP email alias for this step of the process. The email alias is only used for sending email to your account. If you use the email alias, you will get a free trial version of Adobe.
    • You may see two options: Personal Account or Work or School Account. Select Work or School Account.
  • Click Continue, then select Company or School Account.
  • You will be prompted by the IUP Web Single Sign-on. Log in with your IUP computing account credentials.
  • When logged in, under the Quick links to the right of the screen, click Install Creative Cloud app.
  • If the "Permission May be Required" screen displays, click OK.
  • The Application will begin to download and install.
  • After Creative Cloud is installed, you need to launch it from your desktop.
  • Sign in to the desktop app with your IUP computing account credentials
  • From the Creative Cloud desktop app, select the applications you want to install (e.g., Lightroom).
