The Haven Project and the Fashion Merchandising Program are partnering together to set up the What Were You Wearing Exhibit. Anonymous survivor stories from the IUP community will be on display all week in the Stapleton Library.  What Were You Wearing Campaign- Blue Hoodie and a Boot

“What were you wearing?” is an all-too-common question asked of survivors of sexual assault. This question is rooted in victim-blaming. This exhibit aims to dispel the myth that survivors provoke their assault due to how they were dressed. Stop by to experience this powerful and emotional display.

Content Warning: Stories include descriptions of gender-based personal violence, which may be upsetting to some.

Virtual Speak Out (Online)

Haven Project social media and website, YouTube Channel

Although the annual Take Back The Night march and Survivor Speak Out has been canceled, a Virtual Speak Out will be held so we can continue to support one another.

Join us via Haven Project’s social media and website as well as IUP’s YouTube channel to hear the survivor stories, in their own words, read by Haven peers and volunteers. This is an opportunity to give a voice to their experiences.

If you have any questions regarding upcoming events, resources, or services, please visit the Haven Project websiteteal ribbon you are not alone or email haven-project@iup.edu.

Sexual assault is a difficult topic to discuss, so we want to provide resources if anyone would need to reach out.
