Get Involved as a Student

Become a Haven Project volunteer and attend a monthly content-specific training to be able to assist with tables for that month.

Apply to the Haven Project to become:

  • A volunteer specialist

  • A peer educator*

  • A graduate assistant*

  • An intern or practicum student
    *generally hired in the spring for the upcoming fall and spring semester

Get Involved As a Student to learn more about the various positions available for students in the Haven Project.

  • Follow the Haven Project on social media to stay informed (Facebook/Instagram).

  • Attend events on campus like Take Back the Night in April and RAINN Day in September.

  • Download the Just in Case app to help you or a friend find resources on- and off-campus.

Get Involved as a Student Group

  • Request a workshop or presentation for your student group. Workshops—usually ranging from one to one-and-a-half hours—can be presented to groups both large and small and can cover a range of topics related to domestic/dating violence, sexual violence, stalking, consent, and bystander intervention.

  • Attend events on campus like Take Back the Night in April and RAINN Day in September.

  • Follow the Haven Project on social media to stay informed (Facebook/Instagram).

  • Pick up Haven Project posters, resource guides, or other promotional items to give out at events or to put up in your group's meeting space.

Get Involved as Faculty or Staff

  • Attend a Green Dot faculty/staff training. This evidence-based bystander intervention program was created to help prevent power-based personal violence. It relies on the premise that if we all do our small part we can make a big change.

  • Request a presentation for your department or office. Workshops—usually ranging from one to one-and-a-half hours—can be presented to groups both large and small and can cover a range of topics domestic/dating violence, sexual violence, stalking, consent, and bystander intervention. 

  • Follow the Haven Project on social media to stay informed (Facebook/Instagram).

  • Attend events on campus like Take Back the Night in April and RAINN Day in September.
