Students who wish to withdraw from all courses in any given semester may do so by accessing MyIUP. Processing this type of withdrawal does not alter the admission status of the student, nor does it change their start date in a program with respect to the calculation of their "Time to Completion" date.
It may, however, influence the financial status of the student. For this reason, when discussing a Total Semester Withdrawal, it may be prudent to direct the student to the Financial Aid Office and the Accounts Receivable Office to learn the full financial impact of such a decision.
Students are not permitted to process a withdrawal (discreet or total) within the final weeks of the semester. Specific withdrawal deadline dates are listed on the Academic Calendar, which can be accessed via MyIUP.
Process For Late/Exceptional Withdrawals
- Student completes and submits the Request for Withdraw: Semester, Program, and/or University iform.
- Requesting a total semester withdrawal within the last three weeks of the semester may result in further documentation being required of the student.
