The Graduation Fair will be held on Wednesday, November 11, from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the Co-op Store.
All students who plan to graduate must apply for graduation, regardless of whether they intend to participate in the Commencement ceremony. If you are planning to graduate in December or January, please follow these instructions.
Save time in this one-stop shop to order your graduation announcements, pick up your cap and gown, check your degree and diploma information, make your senior class gift, schedule graduation photos, order an IUP class ring, and get answers to your graduation questions.
Attend the fair even if you just want to spend some fun time with other students or have your picture taken with Norm! Refreshments will be provided.
Diploma Information
Apply for graduation, if you haven’t already.
How to Apply
- Log in to MyIUP.
- Select All Cards.
- Search for “Graduation.”
- On the Getting Ready for Graduation card, select Apply for Graduation.
- Choose the correct academic program.
- If you have more than one program, you must submit a separate application for each.
- Select your graduation date. If you need to take a winter course, you will need to apply for January, but you can still walk in the December ceremony.
- Indicate whether you plan to participate in the Commencement ceremony.
- Enter the name and mailing address for your diploma.
- Review all information carefully and submit your application.
Students can verify their graduation information (correct spelling of diploma name, diploma mailing address, and major and/or minor).
Honors Medallions (first baccalaureate students only) will be distributed by the Co-op Store when you pick up your cap and gown.

Earn Your Student Philanthropy Cords
The Student Philanthropy Badge Program recognizes students who have demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy, service, and engagement during their time at IUP.
Graduating students who successfully earn all three Student Philanthropy Badges are eligible to receive Philanthropy Cords to wear at commencement, celebrating the lasting impact they have made on the IUP community.
Whether you’re just getting started or are close to completing your badges, now is the time to check your progress and learn how to qualify for cord recognition.

Important: Philanthropy cords must be picked up or received no later than the Wednesday before Commencement.
Interested in earning your badges but not sure where to start? Email student-philanthropy@iup.edu for guidance on badge requirements, opportunities to get involved, and the steps needed to complete the program before graduation.
Education Abroad
Students who participated in an IUP international experience during their IUP journey, please come to the Graduation Fair to pick up your free graduation cord. You can also purchase a stole or sash with the flag of your host country. For questions, please contact study-away@iup.edu.
Celebration Toast
Graduates, family, and friends are invited to attend a Commencement Celebration Toast for graduating students. Champagne and non-alcoholic sparkling cider will be available. IUP graduates will receive a keepsake IUP Alumni champagne flute while supplies last. Hosted by the Office of Alumni and Friends.

Financial Aid
If you are graduating, there are steps you’ll need to take regarding your financial aid.
Check your Account for balance and financial aid requirements for outstanding items.
In the MyIUP portal:
- Log in to MyIUP. Go to Discover and search for “Easypay.”
- On the Tuition, Aid, and Finances card, click on Pay My Bill (EasyPay).
- Click the IUP-EasyPay button.
Do You Have a Loan?
If you have a Federal Direct loan, it is important for you to go to the Studentaid.gov website and complete the exit counseling session. You may also contact the Financial Aid office at 724-357-2218.
