Each undergraduate student eligible for graduation is guaranteed up to six (6) main arena tickets. Tickets are free. (The Graduate Ceremony on May 5 is not a ticketed event.)
Only undergraduate students who have applied for graduation and who have confirmed their attendance for the university’s main ceremonies will be able to claim their tickets.
In Brief
-
Tickets are required for those attending Undergraduate Commencement (associate’s and bachelor’s degrees).
-
No tickets are needed for Graduate Commencement (master’s and doctoral degrees).
-
Students who confirm their attendance for graduation by 11:59 p.m. on April 17, 2023, will be able to claim up to six tickets for their guests.
-
Each ticket will allocate one (1) general admission seat in the arena seating area.
- Tickets can be picked up at the First Commonwealth Bank Box Office at the KCAC Monday–Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting April 17 through May 3.
-
All tickets are general admission, so guests are encouraged to arrive early and enter together to be assured seating together. Seat saving is not permitted; ushers will be filling all open seats as the arena fills.
-
Tickets are free and cannot be “sold.” Students caught selling their tickets will be subject to disciplinary action by the university.
-
Students graduating do not need a ticket. Students who are graduating will receive their line-up card during check-in.
-
Handicapped accessible seating is available. Those seats are to be counted in the six-ticket-per-undergraduate allocation.
-
Children under three who can sit on an adult’s lap will not need a ticket, but they must remain there during the ceremony.
Please be aware of the following guidelines:
-
I-Card or driver's license must be presented when claiming tickets.
-
Only graduating students can claim tickets.
-
Parents/guardians, friends, family members, and others cannot claim tickets on behalf of a graduating student.
-
Please keep your tickets in a safe place. They can't be reprinted or reissued. There are no replacement tickets.
-
On the day of Commencement, each guest will need a ticket upon entry, regardless of age. There will be no reentry to the KCAC after your ticket has been collected.
-
Graduating students do not need a ticket. Students who are graduating and participating in the ceremony will be checked in before being seated.
-
Tickets are free and cannot be sold. If someone is discovered selling tickets, disciplinary action will be taken by the university.
The university Commencement ceremonies are the main event and the only event site. The university provides a free live webcast of the undergraduate Commencement ceremonies.
