IUP's Pres. Commission on Status of Women and AAUW, Indiana County

AAUW-Indiana Branch in partnership with IUP’s Commission on Women and the IUP Women’s and Gender Studies program will host an advocacy and equity training “Smart Start” workshop on Saturday, February 8, 11 am - 2 pm in the IUP Humanities & Social Science Bldg. Rm. 114. Program Facilitating the workshop will be Dr. Melissa Swagger, IUP Sociology professor and director of IUP’s Commission on Women. Start Smart is an interactive workshop designed to give women the skills they need to earn fair compensation. Over the course of her working life, a woman will earn roughly $1 million less than a man – simply because she’s a woman. All IUP students, women and men, and young professionals in our community are invited to register online at: https://indiana-pa.aauw.net/start-smart/ There is no admission and refreshments will be provided.
