A Hands-on Workshop for Integrating Technology into your Pedagogy

Date: Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008
Time: 8:30-2:30
Location: Eberly College of Business
Presenter: Dr. Gian Pagnucci

The Center for Teaching Excellence and Reflective Practice is pleased to offer their fall weekend workshop on using technology in their classrooms. This workshop is geared for NOVICES. If you have been thinking for some time that you really need to gain some skills in integrating technology into your courses but don't know where to begin, this is the workshop. Our own Gian Pagnucci, who won the 2008 Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology from the International Conference on College Teaching and Learning and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, will lead us through some basics. You'll learn how to build a faculty web page, how to build a course page with assignments, syllabi, and internet resources, and how to create a blog. For those faculty who have felt that learning how to use technology is just overwhelming, this is a great place to begin!

Registration is limited, because this will take place in a computer classroom. Please let Sharon Aikins know if you wish to attend by e-mailing her at saikins@iup.edu.
