Professional Interests
I study the self in the context of relationships, and the ways that people balance their needs to connect with others and yet maintain an authentic, autonomous sense of self. These interests manifest themselves in my three primary areas of research: 1) existential connection/isolation, 2) apologies and forgiveness, and 3) body attitudes.
