Sink Appointed as Interim Vice President for Administration and Finance

Susanna Sink has been appointed as the interim vice president for Administration and Finance, effective December 1, 2018. Her appointment follows the departure of Cornelius Wooten, who begins work today as vice chancellor of Administration and Finance at North Carolina Central University.

IUP to Hold Program on Anniversary of September 11 Attacks

Indiana University of Pennsylvania will present a program September 11 at 8:30 a.m. to reflect on and mark the 17th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. The program will be held next to the university’s September 11 memorial in the Oak Grove, between Sutton Hall and Stapleton Library.

Budget Reductions for Fiscal Year 2013–14

To meet a $5.786 million projected shortfall for fiscal year 2013–14, central budget reductions were made, new revenue identified, and each vice president and the Office of the President have worked to identify $3.987 million in budget reductions. These cuts do not include any active employee reductions and will not change our primary mission of service to our students.

He was a senior majoring in Physical Education and Sport, and was well-known for his internship work at the KCAC and for his leadership on the Spirit Team. Timothy S. Moerland Named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Moerland will begin his position on January 14, 2013. He comes from Kent State University, where he has served as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to that, he held several positions at Florida State University, including chair of the Department of Biological Science, interim director of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Institute, and associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Fiscal Year 2012–13 General Budget

At the end of June, the Pennsylvania legislature and the governor approved flat appropriations for PASSHE. On July 9, 2012, the PASSHE Board of Governors approved tuition and fee increases for fiscal year 2012–13.
