The University Museum will unveil its next exhibit, Holiday Wheels and Thrills: A Model Train
Display, on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The exhibit, which also features locally created quilts, will be open
through December 10, and admission is free.

Summer 2015 will bring two concurrent exhibitions to the University Museum: Experiment: Poland USA Fiber Art Collaboration and Color on White: Collage.

In preparation for a private event, the University Museum will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2015. Regular hours for viewing the 2015 MFA Thesis Exhibition will resume Friday, February 27, at 2:00 p.m.

This exhibit, featured in Fall 2013,
explains how the fragile environment in which we
live can be dramatically impacted by the global climate. The artworks and texts suggest
that, through planning and action, people can develop a more symbiotic
relationship with the natural world.

an untitled landscape by Alva J. Hall received conservation treatments
made possible by an art conservation fund established by IUP alumnus
Robin Litton through the Foundation for IUP.

This year’s University Museum Gala promises a festive evening with “Masks, Music, A Night In Venice” on September 21, 2013, recreating Carnevale in contemporary Italy with art and music, dining on Venetian delicacies, and dancing.

Award-winning artist and alumnus Ron Donoughe painted scenes on campus and around Indiana County on site as a tribute to the area's scenic beauty and unique character. Eighty of these paintings are captured in a new book.

The Indiana Arts Council is sponsoring a raffle of an estate brooch in support of the University Museum. The brooch features three natural pearls with brilliant-cut diamonds in a pave setting of 14k white gold, with white gold chain. The total diamond weight is 0.51 carats.

In conjunction with his current exhibit in the University Museum, “Paint and Pixels,” professional artist and IUP alumnus Ron Donoughe will offer a one-day painting workshop focusing on plein air painting.

IUP’s University Museum opens its final exhibit for the season, “Paint and Pixels,” with a public reception on Thursday, March 25, 2010. The free reception will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the University Museum, located on the first floor of IUP’s John Sutton Hall.

The University Museum is touring last fall’s successful exhibit “Invisible Threads...Common Grounds” to the University Art Gallery at Clarion University. The exhibit, which includes masterworks from the museum’s permanent collection by Paul Binai, Herbert Olds, Kathe Kollwitz, and Francisco Goya, will run from September 10 through October 31, 2009.

Pittsburgh plein-air artist and IUP graduate Ron Donoughe has offered to create one of his trademark nine-by-twelve-inch house paintings. People attending this year’s University Museum benefit, the Black Diamond Jubilee (September 11, 2009), will have the opportunity to bid on this custom-painted, one-of-a-kind piece of fine art.
