As part of the MS in Applied Mathematics program requirements, students must complete a three-credit thesis or six-credit internship course.

Internship

Many students obtained internship positions in well-known companies and government agencies around the nation. Some of them continue working for those companies after graduating from the program. Here are samples of internship placements within the last five years:

  • Lockheed Martin
  • The Prudential
  • Punxsutawney Area Hospital
  • UPMC Health System
  • Metropolitan Police Department, Washington, D.C.
  • Idlewild and SoakZone
  • Bucyrus America
  • PA Power and Light Co.
  • MetLife

Graduate students choosing an internship must meet the MS in Applied Mathematics Internship Requirements.
