Background
Zachary Stiegler joined the Communications Media faculty in 2009. He has served as faculty advisor for WIUP-FM, and currently serves as graduate coordinator for the CMIT doctoral program. His teaching and research center on media law and policy, radio studies and production, media theory, and popular music.
After earning his BA in Rhetoric and Communication from the University of Pittsburgh, Stiegler went on to earn his MA and PhD in Communication Studies at the University of Iowa.
Stiegler is a self-professed music geek and directs much of his discretionary income to his record collection.
