Background
Steven Kleinman is an assistant professor in the Department of Communications Media, where he has been teaching since completing his PhD at the Ohio State University in 2013. Kleinman teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics, research methods, political communication, and video and media production.
Kleinman's research is focused on the antecedents and outcomes of political discussion in everyday life. He is interested in how political knowledge, attitudes, opinions, and behaviors evolve over time as a result of various communicative processes.
Kleinman has published articles in numerous major academic journals, including theJournal of Communication,Political Behavior, andCommunication Research.
Kleinman is the faculty advisor for IUP-TV.
