Dear IUP Alumnus/Alumna:

Thank you for your interest and willingness to support our endeavors in the Office of Admissions in our recruiting efforts. Your involvement in the Alumni Admissions Collaborative is very important to us, and we are excited to work with you!

As an Alumni Admissions representative, you play a vital role in recruiting prospective students for IUP. The value of personal contact encourages prospective students to apply and increases the probability that qualified students will accept an offer of admission to IUP.

We always welcome your ideas and hope to expand your involvement in many areas and in many ways. The most immediate and beneficial role you can play is to represent IUP at college fairs. These are evening or sometimes day programs that are sponsored by high schools or colleges. High school students and their parents are invited to attend these programs to meet with various college representatives. College representatives or alumni representatives are stationed at an assigned table to display and distribute materials and to answer questions of prospective students and their families.

This resource page provides links to help answer any questions you may have in regards to representing IUP at a college fair. If you are able to represent IUP at a college fair, you can access important information such as costs, the freshman admissions process, commonly asked questions, and more. These pages, along with current IUP publications (which will be mailed to you), will be the primary resources you will use at college fairs. Please feel free to print any of the following pieces to keep with you at the college fair table. As always, you may contact me with any specific questions or concerns. I can be reached at egoserud@iup.edu or you may call my cell number at 724-840-1365 at any time.

We hope you will enjoy your experiences as you meet prospective students, their families, and guidance counselors. We look forward to our partnership in this exciting and rewarding venture.

With many thanks,

Elisa Goserud
