Diversity is a core value of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is central to the academic mission of the university. The Office of Social Equity works to assist in the creation of a campus environment that promotes diversity and values individual differences.
The office is actively involved in multiple areas, including conflict resolution, campus climate assessment, and diversity support for human resources, student organizations, and established commissions.
IUP is committed to an educational and work environment free from any form of sexual harassment and sexual violence. The university’s Title IX coordinator/compliance specialist oversees the processes related to investigations and support, and the training of university policies and initiatives.
