Turner
Excused: Hyde, Intemann, Mensch
Absent: Crocker, Krastin, Widdowson

II. Minutes from March 16, 2010 Curriculum Committee Meeting approved on a Migyanka/McCombie motion.

III. Co-Chairs Report
A. Low Enrolled Program Reports Review: Sechrist reported that in conversations with APSCUF Executive Committee, it was suggested that the curriculum committee's responsibility should only be for sent items that change or put a program into moratorium. UWUCC is asked by the union to look at the reports to see if there are curricular matters within them. If there are not they ask that we tell the proposers that we do not see any circular issues in their report.

IV. Items for Review/Possible Action:
A. Honors College Committee Report:
• No report
B. Liberal Studies Committee Report (received by UWUCC):
• One time approval (Pre-session, May 2010) for English 281: Tupac Shakur, Hero with an African Face to count as a LS course and a Type III writing intensive course
• One time approval (Spring 2010) for RLST 481 Hindu Gods to be offered as a non-western culture course

E. 09-64a HPED 251 Foundations of Safety and Emergency Health Care, distance education. On page 1 under Step 1 there should be a 2. Before How will each objective … then renumber the other items. On page 2 objectives 3 and 4 are the same so one objective is missing. Reminder that the course prefix on the DE syllabus should be HPED.
Returned on a Lewis/Metz motion.
F. 09-64b HPED 252 Introduction to the Driving Task, distance education
Returned on a Lewis/Metz motion. Catalog description does not match. Course objectives on the syllabi do not match the objectives in the cover sheet under Step One, Item 2. The catalog description does not match the catalog description in the catalog—some of this may have to do with changes made by the catalog editor, but the entire last sentence is new and cannot be added without a catalog description revision. Also the catalog lists 2 class hours, 2 lab hours, 3 credits.
