As part of Research Appreciation Week, please join the Jones White Writing Center for this virtual workshop! Common types of plagiarism will be discussed to help attendees understand the steps they can take to avoid plagiarism. Areas of focus will include self-plagiarism, paraphrasing versus quoting, and proper in-text references/citations. Attendees will learn about copyright laws and how they relate to theses, dissertations, and other academic publications following an overview of a plagiarism detection product, iThenticate.
