For Students: Emergency Notification System

  • If you receive a notice about the “Emergency Notification–No Response” hold, also known as the “Emergency Alert System” hold, this hold can be lifted very easily.

    First, sign into MyIUP and click the Personal Information link. In the Personal Information section, click Emergency Text Message Sign-Up . The information needed is a contact phone number and the carrier. You can choose to add the information or decline.

    Please note that if you decline, the hold will return during the next registration cycle. This information will only be used in conjunction with emergencies.
