Ragia H. Hassan, Curriculum and Instruction doctoral candidate, presented a research poster at the Society of Information Technology and Teacher Education conference in San Diego in April 2022. The paper, titled "Enhancing Learning and Teaching Through Vlogging: A Systematic Review," presents a systematic review of the literature on the role of educational vlogging to enhance learning and teaching outcomes.

Abstract

This paper presents a systematic review of the literature on the role of educational vlogging to enhance learning and teaching outcomes. The researcher analyzed a total of 43 papers from 2011 to 2021 using qualitative analysis with complementary quantitative analysis. The findings shed new light on the vital role of vlogging in education over the last decade. This systematic review provides scholars and practitioners in the fields of education and educational technology with valuable information about how to improve learning and teaching through vlogging. The findings indicated that vlogging use in higher education is more extensive than its use in K-12. There is a notable discrepancy between the students' and teachers' perceptions regarding the usefulness of vlogging.
