University Postal Services provides university students, faculty members, and staff with resources for shipping and receiving packages and all other services through the United States Postal Service and on-campus delivery systems. The University Post Office is a contract station of the United States Postal Service. It also offers standard mail (formerly known as bulk mail) services to university departments. All postal services are provided at the lower level of Folger Hall, at the Maple Street entrance.
Folger Hall Post Office Service Desk window hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:55 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. The lobby and mailbox area are currently not open during non-service desk hours of operation.
The ongoing university initiative to enhance student services continues at the newly renovated University Post Office. More than four thousand centralized mail boxes have been created in a centralized location to expedite mail delivery to residence students. These mailboxes are assigned to IUP students by the Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining. More information on claiming an assigned mailbox and combination can be found at How to claim your new mailbox.
Resident students who are recipients of packages from USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL, USPS express, and USPS insured/certified will be sent an automatic confirmation e-mail notification. A hardcopy of this notification will then be placed in the post office box of the resident. This hardcopy must be presented at the University Post Office Service Desk, along with an IUP student ID, to claim the package in question.
