The IUP Libraries home page is the starting point for access to our library resources and services. From this page, you can search our collections, access our electronic databases, check your library accounts, request items from other libraries, and contact librarians to assist you with your research.
Library Search
Use the search box on our library home page to search across our collections for books, articles, movies, and more. You can also focus your search to find exactly what you need.
- Discovery Search searches both the library’s physical collections and our electronic resources to help you figure out what’s out there on your topic.
- Library Catalog limits the results to those items that are owned by the library and physically available.
- E-journals A-Z lets you search for the title of a journal to see if we have electronic full-text available.
- Course Reserves searches will tell you whether an item is available on reserve.
- Special Collections gives you a direct search into the wide array of rare books and archival material held by the IUP Libraries.
Library Databases
Clicking the Library Databases button located under the library search will take you to our A-to-Z list of electronic databases. These databases can provide you with full text, video content, and more. Use them to locate and download research articles, find e-books, or discover videos and films. To access our databases, you’ll need to be an IUP student, faculty, or staff member.
Interlibrary Loan Services
When we can't provide direct access to an article, book, or other item that you need, you can turn to our interlibrary loan (ILL) services. When you submit a request through EZBorrow (for books) or ILLiad (for articles), our ILL staff will locate a copy of the item and have it sent to you. For books and physical items, your requested item will be delivered to the library’s Circulation Desk within a few days. Articles will be delivered electronically to your ILLiad account. Both services are free of charge to IUP students, staff, and faculty.
