  2. Wilson/Wacker motion to approve the Liberal Studies portion of the program revisions in the B.S. in Music Education. Passed, 5/0/0.

Discussion

  1. FYS discussion of the UWUCC requests to create a 3-credit experience and stronger language for the course not to be in a major. Revisions were made to the FYS criteria that address those two issues.

    Wilson/Wacker motion to approve the revisions to the First Year Seminar. Passed 5/0/0.
  2. FYS: further discussion of the prefix—LBST or departmental for FYS, as well as the issue of how to be sure that freshmen take the course ensued. Perhaps adding an FYS prerequisite to a second-year course such as English could accomplish this.
