One of the activities in this project was to offer a series of free Cybersecurity Skill Improvement Weekend Workshops. These workshops offered very engaging sessions on various aspects of Cybersecurity. Below are details for each workshop. The third Workshop was held on March 24, 2018.

  • Workshop Date/time:Saturday, March 24, 2018, 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
  • Workshop Location: Westmoreland County Community College - Commissioners Hall (2303 and 2304), 145 Pavilion Lane, Youngwood, PA 15697.
  • Open to all interested students (middle school, high school, and college students)and teachers.
  • Sponsored by the NSA, IUP, and WCCC.
  • Free lunch.
  • Workshop Schedule:
    • 9:00 am: Welcome and Opening Remarks, Dr. Farag, IUP
    • 9:15-10:45: Cybersecurity 101: A Hands-On Session, Dr. Isaac Porche (Guest Speaker).
    • 11:00-12:30: Communicating While Under Cyber Attack, Dr. Rafoth, IUP
    • 12:30-1:00: Free Pizza Lunch
    • 1:00-2:30: Global Cyber-Crises Simulation: WWIII?, Dr. Fiddner, IUP
