Central Stores is a core, value-added service to Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Through the use of computerization, automation, and just-in-time philosophies, the objective is to accentuate information flows to promote quality service and eliminate waste.

Quick response to campus customer needs, increased value-added services while reducing our university's operating costs, and the reduction of impediments to better service are key elements to serving our campus customers. The Central Stores Services Group is here to serve our university customers.

Central Stores is responsible primarily for the receiving, storage, and distribution of maintenance, repair, and operations products to service the trades. Ancillary to these responsibilities are office products to support campus clerical and printing services. Similar value-added services, such as disposition of surplus, recycling, and asset and file storage are provided to better serve our campus customers.

The Central Storeroom is part of the Supply Chain Management at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and works in conjunction with Procurement Services.
