With more than 60 graduate programs of study, some of which are offered across our various regional campuses, Indiana University of Pennsylvania is classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a doctoral/research institution.

With its original 1875 building still standing at the heart of its main campus, IUP has a long tradition of academic excellence. It is the only member institution of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education that offers research doctoral degrees.

With over 45 graduate programs of study across, some of which are offered across our various regional campuses, IUP has something to offer every individual student. IUP holds university-wide regional accreditation through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. A number of individual programs have also earned special accreditation or national recognition.
