DANC 281 Women & Dance: Stripping the Veils

An interdisciplinary, multiperspective exploration into the roles of women and dance from a historical, cultural, and spiritual vantage point. This course will explore gender roles through experiential movement and the embodiment of popular key genres and dances including current trends, followed by reflective journaling and discussion. A final performance project will be required. This will fulfill both DART major elective and Dance minor theory course. Also will fulfill Women's Studies minor elective.
