Welcome Week is a great time to connect with new friends, find your way around campus, and have some fun before the semester begins. Below is a daily schedule of events for your first week on campus.

Welcome Week Dining

Every third Thursday from April through September, the Indiana community is invited to gather at IRMC Park to enjoy live music and local eats! This month, the band Count Me In will be performing. - Field Day at Co-op Park (HR/Off)
Kick off the school year with a day of fun, friends, and fresh air at the Welcome Week Field Day! This event is FREE for all IUP students and is the perfect way to get outside and connect with new and old friends.
The Field Day will be held at Coop Park, a beautiful setting with plenty of space to relax and play. There will be a wide range of activities to choose from, including:- Cornhole provided by the Catholic Student Association
- Disc Golf
- Gaga Ball, provided by Cru
- Hike through White’s Woods with the Outdoors Club
- Kickball
- 5K Walk/Run Race, officially timed by Gingerbread Timing
- Special Note: The 5K race has been canceled. Students are encouraged to enjoy a leisure run or walk on their own or with a group of friends during the field day.
You’re also welcome to simply come and hang out! Bring a towel and catch some sun, get lost in a good book, or bring a game to play with friends. The goal is to have fun and make connections, so participation in the activities is not required.
Transportation: You can get to the event in one of two ways:
- IUP Vans:
- Free transportation will be available from the HUB Circle (next to Whitmyre Hall and the upper level of the Hadley Union Building). The address for the HUB is 319 Pratt Drive, Indiana, Pennsylvania 15701.
- Vans will depart the HUB Circle at 1:30 p.m., 1:50 p.m., and 2:15 p.m.
- Vans will depart from the College Lodge to return to campus at 5:30 p.m., 5:50 p.m., and 6:15 p.m.
- Drive Yourself: Students with vehicles are welcome to drive to the event. The address for College Lodge/Coop Park is 226 Lodge Road, Indiana, Pennsylvania 15701. The park is only 5-7 minutes away from the Robertshaw parking lot. There is parking for the first 30 vehicles, and carpooling is encouraged.
