The executive director of Student Inclusion invites dedicated and passionate student leaders to apply for the Peer Education and Engagement Coordinator program. PEECs play a vital role in building connections, fostering inclusion, and creating opportunities for meaningful engagement across the IUP campus community.
As a PEEC, you’ll help plan and lead programs, workshops, and activities that support student success and create a welcoming campus environment. Your involvement can make a significant difference in helping students feel connected, supported, and empowered at IUP.
What is a PEEC?
A PEEC is a student leader who focuses on engaging peers, creating community-building opportunities, and connecting students with campus resources. This role includes:
- Planning and facilitating events, discussions, and outreach activities that encourage student involvement.
- Supporting initiatives that help students navigate campus life and feel a sense of belonging.
- Serving as a positive role model and ambassador for the Office of Student Inclusion.

Those with Federal Work Study can apply to become a diversity peer educator.

What’s Going On Right Now?
Formally called Diversity Peer Educators, PEEC can be found around campus, engaging students with the “Question of the Day.” Share your thoughts by recording your voice, jotting down a Post-it note, or submitting your answer anonymously online. Don’t forget to grab a handout with helpful information about the day’s topic!
